2006 Lilac Handball Tournament

November 3-5 2006 The Spokane Athletic Club hosted 81 players from Montana, Idaho, Spokane and Seattle for the 40th Annual Lilac Handball Tournament.
The Club’s own Jay Balkenbush easily walked away with the Open Singles Championship. Overall, the Spokane Athletic Club is home to 8 of the champions from this year’s Lilac Handball Tournament. Spectators were treated to several great matches in the Open Singles, 50+ Golden Singles and 60+ Super Singles, as well as other divisions throughout the tournament. This year we featured a youth divisions for the first time in several years. The younger players were cheered on by the veteran handball players all tournament long. Having the young players completing at the Lilac Handball Tournament this year truly made for a great tournament.
Thanks to everyone who attended, to all who were able to help with referee duties, and to the United States Handball Association for their support. Thank you for making this year’s Lilac Handball Tournament a success! We’ll hope to see you all next year! Mike Williams
