Valentine's Day Tournament
Flathead Valley handball players Paul Wachholz, Ron Schlenske and Andy Brown were division champions during the Flathead Handball Association's annual Valentine's Day Tournament. Wachholz, beat fellow Kalispell resident Lanny Gorman in the playoff match on Feb 17. Schlenske bested fellow Kalispell handball player Dave Stone in the B/Golden Division. In the A Division, Brown bested Bryan Freeman of Lewiston, ID, before winning his division by default. Lee Anderson of Kalispell won the B-Golden consolation bracket, topping Jim Jurgens of Lewiston. In the Open division, Mike Spotorno of Helena beat Missoula's Jeff Jamison. In the Open consolation, Trent Gardner of Butte beat Greg Pearce of Palouse, WA. The A consolation winner was Todd Timboe of Great Falls, who beat Randy Joliffe of Missoula.
